Sponsored Content Policy

ScopePress.uk is operated by Rock Bay Media Ltd., a private company limited by shares registered in Gibraltar (company number 128512, registered office Suite 21, Portland House, Glacis Road, Gibraltar GX11 1AA). This policy governs all sponsored content published on ScopePress.uk and confirms that such content is created, labelled and managed separately from our independent editorial journalism. Editor-in-Chief Nathan Brooks retains ultimate oversight of editorial standards across both sponsored and editorial content, with Ruth Donovan, Standards & Fact-Checking Lead, responsible for verifying that sponsored materials meet our labelling and disclosure requirements.

Who is responsible for sponsored content at ScopePress.uk?

The commercial partnerships team at Rock Bay Media Ltd. sources and manages sponsorship agreements, but final approval for publication of any sponsored content rests with the editorial leadership. Nathan Brooks, Editor‑in‑Chief, sets the policy that sponsored content must never influence or override independent editorial judgement. Olivia Reid, Managing Editor, ensures that sponsored materials are scheduled and handled separately from the daily newsroom workflow.

What is sponsored content and how is it labelled?

Sponsored content is any article, video, guide or other material that has been paid for by a commercial partner. It may be produced by ScopePress.uk’s editorial team in collaboration with the partner, or provided by the partner for publication. Every piece of sponsored content is clearly and prominently labelled at the top with the words “Sponsored”, “Paid content” or “In partnership with [partner name]”. Additional disclosures appear within the body where relevant. Readers will never encounter a sponsored piece that could be mistaken for independent editorial work.

How does sponsored content differ from affiliate links and independent reviews?

Affiliate links, explained in our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure, are commercial links that may earn a commission when a reader makes a purchase. They appear within independently written editorial content and do not involve payment for the article itself. Independent product reviews, governed by our Product Reviews Policy, are never subject to partner approval or payment. Sponsored content, by contrast, is a separate arrangement where a partner pays for visibility, and it is always labelled accordingly.

How does ScopePress.uk ensure editorial independence?

Commercial partners never receive approval over independent editorial reviews, news articles, buyer’s guides or opinion pieces. Our Editorial Policy guarantees that all editorial decisions are made solely by the editorial team. Sponsored content is restricted to clearly labelled sections and does not affect our technology reporting, product testing or fact‑checking processes. Full details of our ownership and funding structure are available on our Ownership & Funding page.

How can commercial partners or readers contact us about sponsored content?

All sponsorship enquiries and proposals should be directed to sponsored@scopepress.uk. For general questions about this policy or to report a potential labelling issue, readers can reach our editorial team via the Contact page.
